How reader questions and tips work, so they stay helpful and safe.
Last updated September 27, 2026
Real experiences from readers make GetMyDr more human and more useful. To keep that space safe, every submission is reviewed by a person before it appears.
What we welcome
- Practical tips from your own experience, such as how you prepared for a test or what helped you understand a bill.
- Questions you want answered in a future guide.
- Kind, respectful language.
What we remove
- Specific medical advice to others, including medicine doses or telling someone to stop treatment.
- Claims that a product cures or treats a disease.
- Personal details about yourself or others, such as full names, phone numbers or addresses.
- Advertising, links to sell things, spam or anything unlawful.
- Content that is hateful, harassing or misleading.
How it appears
We show your first name and state only, if you choose to share them. Reader tips are always labeled as personal experience, not medical advice. We may edit for length and clarity without changing the meaning.
